This news post summarizes the key topics discussed and decisions made during the Belmont FWSD No. 2 Board of Supervisors meeting on February 11, 2026.

Key Topics Discussed:

  • Consent Agenda: The Board reviewed and approved items included in the consent agenda. This included the tax collection report, police and animal control reports.  Approval of the December Board meeting minutes was tabled for the following meeting.

  • Bookkeeper’s Report: The district bookkeeper reviewed the Bookkeeper’s report with the Board, who approved the report.

  • Developer’s Report: Jesse Carrasco with Hillwood provided an update on the development of the commercial portion of the District and tenants that will be coming to Harvest. Commercial tenants include the upcoming Tom Thumb, Jersey Mikes, Chuy’s, a nail salon and a dentist office. 

  • Special Action Items: The Board reviewed and adopted multiple resolutions that are reviewed annually. These include a discussion of tax exemptions, penalties for delinquent taxes, and wage rate scales. There were no changes for this year.

  • Construction and Engineering Updates: The District engineer provided updates on options for a turning curb for Center Street and a downed sign replacement. The Board also discussed lighting options for the area near 4th Street, requesting quotes for the installation of up to 3 lights in the area.

  • Communications Report and Community Engagement: The Board received updates on the District’s website, subscriber numbers for alerts and Facebook, and active/closed “Report a Problem” tickets. The communication team is working with the Harvest HOA to create a quick reference guide for residents. The team also provided an update about the approved website migration, noting that the migration is nearing completion. 

  • Police Services Contract: The Police Liaison Committee provided an update to the Argyle Police Services Contract, including that the committee met with members of the Board of Belmont FWSD 1 to discuss potential options for police services for all of Harvest. The Board will continue to evaluate options over the coming months. The Town of Argyle is set to discuss the policing contract for Belmont FWSD 2 at their February 17 council meeting. Residents can attend this meeting at 5:30 p.m. February 17 at Argyle Town Hall, 308 Denton St., E., Argyle TX.


The next meeting of Belmont FWSD No. 2 will be on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m.
